Easy Ways to Improve Your Golf Score With These Simple Ideas
After playing tons of rounds with so many people, I noticed what the good golfers do that others don’t.
There’s always people who try to buy equipment. They buy their way and think it will help them. While it certainly won’t hurt, most people believe that it won’t lower your score all that much!
Committed people start looking into lessons. They are great, but takes a lot of time and effort. They need to practice, practice and practice.
The ultra addicted always practice their short game. It might be the best method but it’s ultra hard to do because it takes so much time! Practice, hitting ball after ball after ball will become routine if you fall under this category.
There some ways that are more easier.
1. Glove - We all need to change gloves much more often than we do. If we don’t change gloves every so often, we cannot grip the clubs pretty soon and our clubs will slip! How do you expect to hit the ball at the same spot every time?
2. Spikes - New spikes usually bring new life into my golf game. No longer am I slipping all over the place but it’s also easier to walk the course with it. Especially in the sand or in uneven lies, I hit the ball much better.
3. Tees - Keep your tee height the same might be the most important part of your tee shot. Especially on iron shots where the clubs aren’t as forgiving, hitting at the same spot is much more crucial for ultimate accuracy.
4. Hydration - In the early days of my golfing career, I would play well and then lose the edge towards the end of the round. After a while of this frustration, I read somewhere that keeping myself hydrated will help me sustain my energy and focus. This means drinking water, Gatorade or some type of liquids throughout the round. Nowadays, it wouldn’t be uncommon for me to drink 2-3 bottles of water during an 18-hole round. 4-6 strokes saved
5. Warm up - Don’t want to suck on the first few holes while you figure out which game you brought with you today? Warm up!
6. Eat Light - Heavy eating is a no-no on the course. You end up losing focus after a big meal so it’s hard to pick and execute the right shots. Eating something light is great for your score.
